The 535-acre Deere Acres solar project site is situated on a giant secluded farm field in the state of Delaware. There are still thousands of acres of farmland in the community. The reduction of fertilizers and pesticides will be beneficial to the watershed, local utilities and industries that will be able to harness the clean energy generated from this project. This 109 megawatts project will serve approximately 12,500 households and will significantly contribute to Delaware’s renewable energy portfolio and support the state’s ambitious climate goals. The Deere Acres Solar project will be operating in the PJM transmission system.
