The Steel Creek Solar project is being developed in northeastern Nebraska.  Once operational, it will generate 250 megawatts (MW) of clean and renewable electricity.  Steel Creek will make significant contributions to Nebraska’s renewable portfolio and will provide job opportunities throughout construction and operations. It will also substantially increase local and state tax revenues. Steel Creek will be operating in the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) transmission system.
