The Bear Oak Solar+Storage project, located in western Pennsylvania, will generate 20 megawatts of clean, renewable electric power, enough to serve up to 3,000 households annually. Bear Oak Solar will make a substantial contribution to the commonwealth’s renewable energy portfolio and help it achieve its aspiring climate goals ,enabling local utilities and industries to harness the clean energy generated. The Bear Oak project will have a battery storage component of approximately 20 megawatts/hour, which would augment energy security and reliability. The project is within the PJM transmission system.
