Great Bend Solar is a utility-scale solar PV project located in Meigs County, southeastern Ohio.  This 426-acre project will be Doral Renewables’ first project in Ohio. Once complete, Great Bend Solar will produce enough clean electricity to power about 9,200 households. This project was acquired by Doral Renewables from American Electric Power (AEP) in March 2023. Great Bend solar has executed a long-term power purchase agreement with AEP Energy Partners. This shovel-ready project is located in PJM’s transmission system. Great Ben Solar is expected to come online by the end of 2025.
