The Green Country Solar+ Storage project is being developed in northeastern Oklahoma. Once operational, it will generate 200 megawatts (MW) of clean and renewable electricity. Green Country will make significant contributions to Oklahoma’s generation and renewable energy goals and will provide job opportunities throughout construction and operations. It will also substantially increase local and state tax revenues. This project will have a battery storage component of approximately 200 megawatt-hours (MWh) to enhance energy security and reliability. The Green Country project is located within the Associated Electric Cooperative Inc. (AECI) transmission system.
