The White Draw Solar+ Storage project is being developed in eastern New Mexico. Once operational, it will generate 700 megawatts (MW) of clean and renewable electricity. This project will make significant contributions to New Mexico’s climate goals and will provide job opportunities throughout construction and operations. It will also substantially increase local and state tax revenues. This project will have a battery storage component of approximately 700 megawatt-hours (MWh) to enhance energy security and reliability. White Draw is located within the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) transmission system.
