The Woodward Creek Solar project, located in western Oklahoma, will generate 538 megawatts of affordable and reliable electric power, enough to serve over 70,000 households. This project, located in the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) grid system, will play a major part in strengthening the Oklahoma Grid. Woodward Creek will make significant contributions to Oklahoma’s generation and renewable energy goals and will provide job opportunities throughout construction and operations.
Woodward Creek Solar will also substantially increase local and state tax revenues, and will provide opportunities for local farmers to partner with the project as part of its dual-use efforts, which will include farming activities like grazing and crop production inside the project’s territory, a practice known as agrivoltaics.
